In this adapted version of the original tale, a young Robin quickly makes an enemy of the sheriff and eventually becomes a wanted man, an outlaw.  By the time he escapes to Sherwood Forest, he’s met all his legendary friends — Friar Tuck, Little John, Marian, and more — and brought the team together to help return what is stolen from the poor and eventually bring the evil sheriff down.

This 10-week, immersive theater workshop for youth aged 8 through 18 is an exciting way for children to experience all the magic of live theater.  It begins Saturday and Sunday, September 10 and 11, 2022, with auditions.  All registered youth are guaranteed a place in the cast or crew.  You will be contacted to schedule an audition time once your registration is confirmed.  If your actor cannot attend on either date, please make arrangements in advance for a private audition.

All rehearsals and performances will be at 113 S. Princess Street in Shepherdstown.  Rehearsals for production workshops are scheduled with participants' schedules in mind.  You will be asked for a list of date and time conflicts (for weeknights 5:00 to 7:00) after you register, and you can make changes to that list up to September 10, 2022.  We ask that, once the schedule reflecting these blackout dates is completed, you and your cast/crew member commit to attendance at all scheduled rehearsals.  Unexcused absences may mean the loss of a role.

Please bear in mind that rehearsals during the week preceding opening night, the mid-run rehearsal, and all performances are ALL MANDATORY.   This covers NOVEMBER 7 through NOVEMBER 20, 2022.

There will be eight performances of New Clothes for the Emperor over two weekends: May 27 through June 5, 2022. (Fridays at 7:00 pm; Saturdays at 2:00 pm and 7:00 pm; and Sundays at 2:00 pm).  To confirm your place, register online with the link to the left, and include your child(ren)'s name in the address line.  We will follow up on your registration by email.  Space is limited, so register soon.
